All passenger cabin and suite mini-bars are stocked with premium liquors ($6-9,25), beer ($6,25), energy drinks ($5), soft soda/beverages ($2), bottled water ($3,75). Vista suites take things even further with panoramic, wrap-around balconies. Don’t get us wrong — a Carnival Legend Vista Suite stateroom is a lovely room with all the suite fixings. But the thing to see here is truly the view that your balcony affords you. A Vista Suite features a wraparound balcony that provides wide, stunning views when you’re outside, and a uniquely panoramic inside view thanks to a wall of windows that brings more of that outside inside.
The percentage of staterooms with oceanviews was also impressive – 80%, and 80% of them with balconies. The vessel has a 9-deck-high Atrium, duty-free luxury boutiques, an impressive golfing program. Kids are amused by the children's play area of 1,800-square-feet. The Legend can hold 2,124 based on double occupancy (two people per room) and more when you take into account 3rd and 4th passengers. When you compare the total tonnage of the ship to the number of passengers, the Legend has a space ratio of 42. Depending on the ship, this number can range from 30 to 52 (with a bigger number meaning more space per person) so this ship's space-to-person ratio is about average. Bathroom amenities vary each time, so it’s advisable you bring your own.

As I kept walking towards the front of the ship, I knew the casino had to show up eventually. Here’s the lower level of Truffles (you can see the upper level in the photo). As I walked towards the front of Carnival Legend, on one side of the ship is Medusa’s Lair Dance Club.

At 88,500 tons and carrying 2,124 passengers (2,680 at full capacity), Carnival Legend just skirts the high side of midsized -- large enough, but not particularly crowded, except at breakfast and lunch in the buffet. The Legend is one of four Spirit-class ships currently sailing with Carnival. Spirit-class ships are PANEX ships, which means they were designed to be able to travel through the Panama Canal locks. Their smaller size makes them able to visit ports larger ships can't.
